Feeling at home Helping Irish immigrants adapt to new environments
“To come home to yourself. May all that is unforgiven in you be released,” recites Natasha Bailey, a clinical counsellor and owner of Hawthorn Counselling Services. These words from Irish poet John O’Donohue guides her approach to counselling clients, some of whom are Irish immigrants. As BC’s Irish community continues to grow, counsellors, like Bailey, provide resources and support for the transition to life in Canada.
